Vincent Manfuoco, historically known as Matteo Tagliavini, fell in love with electronic music 'at the dawn' of the new millennium,
as he sadly was born too late to fully live that Piper’s experiences epically depicted by the beloved Roger Syd Barrett in 1967.
Mind association is not science, take it as it could be in someone’s head…
Born in September 1980 in the fat cheesy land of (Parmigiano) Reggiano cheese and tortellini, he discovered the power of music by
listening to the Beatles, Pink Floyd and lots of sixties genius stuff...
In 2000 he was introduced to Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Warp Records magic. So electronic music became for his soul, what
pasta is for his stomach, a source of life, essential.
When in 2002 he moved to London to study music and media management, his music mentor and great friend Enrico Fontanelli wrote him from
Italy about Andrew Weatherall’s Haywire Session, a monthly night at Fortress Studios in Old Street.
2002 was his 1988, techno-electro-bass became part of his DNA, Sir Weathearall an icon, the man who made him realize what dj-ing is
about...then UR. Same year Matteo started working part-time at Old Street's Bi-Wire Records as shop assistant, an experience that incredibly enriched
his knowledge in electronic dance music.
Vincent Manfuoco began to dj in 2003, mainly electro-bass and techno, also learning from his friends Kostas (Ekkohaus) and Niccolo'
Rufus. Meanwhile times were changing, horizons in techno and house music expanded, and ‘love was tearing him apart'...
Minimal robots emerged, new music softwares, new sounds, new nights: Sud Electronic, Multivitamins, Run…all very inspiring indeed.
In December 2005, after graduating, Matteo became agent of emerging house talent Argy (Poker Flat Recordings) and together with
fellow James Manero inaugurated the Battery Box parties.
Later, in early summer 2006, he founded La Belle Epoque Affairs, a booking agency representing some of the finest new artists in the
London underground dance scene. Roster includes Argy, Sebastian Russell, Ekkohaus, GummiHz, Minimono, Fabio Della Torre and
Logistic/Telegraph boss Alex Petit.
"Music is a manifestation of feelings, visions and dreams, it gives magic to our life experiences, it should be present in every
single second of our living, so that the world would be eventually full of poets..."
